Being thankful is the most kind gesture. By being thankful we express our gratitude towards the things and people we have in life and are happy to have them in our life. There is so much to be thankful for. But when we are positive in life , we see that how blessed we are.
Expressing gratitude and being thankful to God is one of the most appreciated gesture. The people we meet in our life is meant to cross our path to learn from them, be inspired by them, to give love and be loved by them, to help and be helped by them. We should be thankful for the people we meet in our lifetime. I am so much happy to and thankful to my audience who like my blogs and appreciate my work. They inspire me write more and more.
Recently, I have joined a mom’s group and so inspired by them and learning so much from them. I am happy to meet such an inspiring group of people. Be thankful to the teachers who taught you when you were a child. Be thankful to parents who always forgiven your mistakes. Be thankful to God for everything you have. Be thankful to your family and friends who always stand by your side no matter what.
When we are thankful to everyone, it’s obvious that we are happy to have them all in our life. As we are celebrating thanks giving week. Make a list of people to whom you are thankful to and send them your love. Visit a holy place to thank lord.
We must not forget to thank all the doctors and health workers who did commendable job to save lives of others in this pandemic and still working for our good. Let them feel, how proud we are and thankful to them. Thank you to all the people who stand by each other feed the hungry and supported the needy.

See the above image, a foodie will love to see it. For a foodie like me, happiness is food. You go anywhere around the world there is so much to explore, in terms of food that you enter a whole new world of happiness all together. There is so much online support available for foodies. You can order your favourite food just by few clicks and it’s delivered in minutes at your doorsteps. These food delivery partners have encouraged more and more outlets to open and start their food business, even home made food is being also delivered by them. What a revolution!
Everyone loves food, for sure, being a foodie. Some love home cooked food, others may be street food. It all depends upon our taste buds. We all enjoy eating at a trending resturant isn’t it. We eat food to stay healthy but a foodie eats to stay happy, to enjoy each and every bite and to try every new food joint or resturantnearby. Food is oxygen for foodie. As I belong to India. We have so many variety of food to offer. Each state in India has its signature dish. We are diverse in culture and so much to explore.
My personal favourite is South Indian and North Indian food if we talk about India. I am still on a journey to explore the world food. As when we visit abroad we opt for Indian food only, but you don’t do this mistake while travelling abroad. A foodie should try each and everything. I missed ‘fondue’. Being a foodie, is like, you travel and side by side exploring that place’s famous delicacies. If you love travelling, you automatically become foodie, as you are away from home and there is only option, and good one, is to try food from where you pass by, eat where you stay.
In my earlier blog I wrote about food, and try to give importance to home cooked food. And yes, again I will say home cooked food is the best. You can try receipes at home with hygienic ingredients. We are now more knowledgeable about being vegan or follow keto diet but our traditional, local and seasonal food is sustainable as suggested by Rujuta Diwekar.
We should try to improve our taste buds and create liking for healthy food too. When we over indulge in outside food, to detox what we do is eat light food. Make it a routine for lifetime. Our body is a machine, for the well being of each part of our body we must provide proper nutrition. And a foodie don’t think while enjoying their food. There is no harm in being a foodie but if you are a food vlogger or food blogger then so many people may be following you, you can transform people’s idea of food by giving them direction or good advice instead of daily making a vlog on street food vendors.
Some foodies have sweet tooth and love sugary food more than anything. People also like spicy food. Everything is catered, to satisfy different taste buds. The vlogs informing about new food joint nearby, advertise their food for which may be they are paid or just to win followers should be ignored. Always experiment with different outlets by your own, never go blindly by watching just a vlog.

My last blog was about believe in God and here comes the next ‘ Believe in yourself ‘. People who believe in themselves believe in their dreams, to fulfill those dreams they make efforts in the right direction to achieve them. When we believe in ourselves we becomes confident in each and every action of ours without any doubt. We don’t need anyone’s approval or permission that, is this right or wrong. When we accept ourselves as we are, with all flaws and perfections, we believe in ourselves. The confidence level becomes high and it makes us express and impress others too. When we love ourselves we not only become source of motivation and happiness for ourselves but to others too.
Have you seen an artist performing on stage? They so confidently perform their character on stage that we believe that they are the same character in real life too. This is the magic of believing in yourself. Imagine again, if the artist performing, didn’t believe in themselves and performed half-heartedly, no one would have been impressed. For doing anything in life we must believe first that we can do it. This is the ‘mantra’. Creating new blogs now and then with interesting topics is also a challenge in itself, but what motivates us and makes us happy is that the love and appreciation of audience.
The mistake which we make is we keep on depending on others. That dependency makes us paralytic at times. Though we need support of others in every stage of life but never give your key to happiness in someone else pocket, keep it with you. Motivate yourself in the morning, write 5 good qualities about yourself, which you possess. Write 5 things which you want to change in yourself. Laugh at your flaws and accept them. Always remember nobody is perfect in this whole world. Take good care of your health, make healthy choice according to your age while eating.
When we believe in ourselves it is accompanied by confidence, this confidence boost our mind and bring happiness in everything we do, we feel worthy. When we know our worth, not only it makes us priceless but we came to know who is the deriving force for us. Who are our kind of people and who are not. Qualities which we possess are our assets, use them wisely. Use them for your good and the society. When we fail in any task or can’t achieve any target, we feel demotivated and disappointed. Instead we must think about other opportunities and possibilities rather than just get struck with our disappointments.
The people who put you down all the time are not your people. Beware of them, instead make new friends who appreciate and are happy for your happiness and are sad when you are low. First things first is, become so busy in your improvement and well being that you don’t have time for gossips. Remember those who talk behind your back are people who deserve your back. Don’t feel sad to lose them rather they are loosing you.
Believing yourself is one step ahead in the long journey of life. Do what makes you happy more often. Look at new horizons. Being happy, being you, being kind, being human, being at peace with yourself is new defination of success. Give yourself a chance to look at things with different perspective. Persue your hobbies or passion. Be creative, be wild, be humourous, be fantastic.
Believe that you can, believe that you will. No one can stop you from achieving your dreams. Believe in them. Have full faith that everything will turn to be in your favour.
Do you believe in God? I do. It is the best and more trustworthy method to find peace of mind, which most of us are finding, by downloading an app or by paying handsome amount to rejuvenate. When we believe in God our outlook changes altogether to see life from different perspective. We not only find happiness within ourselves but feel happy to make others happy too. We are more happy with what we have and are satisfied. Riches are everyone’s desire but it should not cost your peace of mind.
Visit to a historical place, religious travels cleanses our soul. Running after money all the time gives so much stress, anxiety, diseases that we have to spend handsome amount to get relieved, healthy. Travelling to a holy place not only makes us know that place but provide us it’s positivity too. Some people don’t believe in God, may be they think that they are the source of their happiness and God don’t have a role in their lives. But it’s not true at all, the word ‘KARMA’ says it all, what you will sow, you will reap. If your nature reflects jealousy, ego, anger, arrogance that means you are not enlightened soul and needs God’s guidance.
When you do something wrong or hurt anyone intentionally. It’s denotes your Karma and the consequences will be accordingly. Those who have fear of God, believe in God never attempt these deeds. Rather they are kind, humble, helpful and down to earth souls. Be it any religion or any God we worship, we are never taught to hate anyone, we are not taught to harm anyone. So I wonder about the people who don’t worship or believe any God, never been to holy place to worship. I wonder what restrain them to do so. We can cleanse our body but to cleanse our mind and soul we need to worship the Lord.
One should be patient when someone hurt them. Leave it to God to do the justice. Believe that you will always win. Sometimes we wish one thing, but Lord give us in abundance and this is his way of pouring the love on us. We must always be thankful to God. When we trust the almighty it strengthens us. No matter what we be through, it gives us courage and motivation that God will help us and enlighten our lives. We and whole world is creation of God. The purpose of our existence is only known to him.
When we think practically, we think in monetary terms, like how much profit we will gain, how much to invest to fetch handsome return and emotions takes a backseat. When we think emotionally we are are least bother about any gains but want to win a relation. When we think spiritually, we become children of God and surrender in front of him. When we are in party mood we forget everything and gets indulge in drinking, casino, we see a new world where everyone is happy and enjoying, but overindulgence is bad.
It’s not that those who believe in God never party, we do but our way of celebrating is somewhat different. We include presence of God in each our celebrations, because he is the reason for our celebrations, how can we forget him. In Gurbani its said: ਸੋ ਕਿਉਂ ਵਿਸਰੇ ਜਿਨ ਸਭ ਕਿਛੁ ਦੀਆਂ। English Translation: Why to forget the almighty who has given us everything. Likewise we never forget him in sorrow so that we gets strength to face this situation too.
We have seen many times Doctors failed and lives of patients saved by a miracle. What this miracle shows, it shows that there is a power or force which is over and above man’s intelligence. We have seen doctors find themselves helpless in this pandemic. The situation was worsening in many parts of the world, we have seen videos of doctors who were worshiping God for help. We can’t deny and will always be thankful to doctors and medical staff who worked day and night to save lives of people without bothering about their lives. Their reaserch gave us life saving vaccines, they are still working on children vaccine. Those who believe in God saved lives of others, the kindness, humanity, helpful nature which each religion possesses works for us.
We should always visit holy places to get vaccinated against hate, jealousy, wrong deeds, anger. Pay our respect there and again go for booster shots if needed. But as pandemic is still not ended, should always wear mask, maintain social distance andclean your hands.
Being a teenager’s Parent, I can understand the challenges faced by other parents. It’s not only challanging phase for child but also for parents too. The child is confused at times, we must provide them support. They have develop their opinion about things. We must listen to them and discuss. They become angry, impatient.
It’s very crucial year in life of a child. We as parents have to be calm in each and every situation and give them ample space to grow and live independently. It’s our duty and responsibility to act wisely and with giving space must have a watch on their activities, how much time child spend on mobile and what he is watching or doing. To know this there are two options, one is to spy on them or win their trust and they will tell you everything. And they will feel confident that they have someone to talk.
Child will be thankful for understanding him/her in these crucial years. We should avoid scolding them or get angry instead the best option is to give them work like, cleaning their room, helping in household work etc. By this they will though do the work as punishment but they will learn various things which will help them may be in future to live independently. Every child is special and have unique qualities never ever compare your child with other child. In this competitive world they are already struggling to make their mark and if we also starting comparing them with others will make the situation more worse.
The challanges which I just started being through makes me write about this topic. We have to act normally but still should understand the seriousness of this phase.Try to make your child happy, cook their favorite food, help them develop any hobby if they still don’t have, encourage them to focus on their studies and passion too. The more busy they will be, the more they will forget about conflict within themselves.
Bullying is another problem faced by child in teenage. Let’s always support our child and know what he/ she feels when someone bully them. Tell them how to control their anger or how to approach elders about the situation. Things become vunarable when child don’t know how to react. Parents as mentors lighten up their child’s path. It becomes easy to make your teenager happy when you appreciate them, be a friend to them, give importance to their choices and not force them anything.
Discussing problems is worrisome and time-consuming too, rather we must focus on solutions. The approach and reaction to the same situation might be different and depends upon person to person. Like one parent might argue with their teenager when he or she gets angry on the other hand another parent calmly manage the situation. We must be in touch with other parents, so that we are get assured that we are not alone in this.
Always be updated, be it technology, knowlegde, current affairs etc so that you can talk on any and every topic,it will also boost your confidence. Always respect child’s opinion, if you will then child will always tell you everything, small or big. Obesity and academic performance are other important things to focus on. Due to obesity the teenage child can be bullied by other child, physical appearance could be compared and commented on. The best, important and vital thing which you can do for your child in this phase is being a friend to them on the same time control them being a parent. This dual role might be challenging for parents but if you stay calm and tactfully handle everything, your child will tell you as a friend and will respect you as their parents.

Sharing food is one thing teacher taught us in school. The lunch break in school was amazing. We share food with friends and classmates. It is a memory, always to be cherished. Today, when we look at ourselves and think how far life has come. It’s an experience, a journey in itself, which is still on.
We still share food with our colleagues in office. Is sharing food is only be called as caring? No, not at all. In a journey called life, we meet many people, who inspire us, love us, change us, make us think differently. When we come across such people, we learn from them, how to live life, how to love someone, how to attain happiness and be a part of world of happiness. Sharing an idea, sharing a thought, sharing your experience with others, sharing your knowledge, all shows that you care.
Not only you care for your loved ones, but also you care for the society, you care for your global family. You want to share with them what all you can, so that they can also be benefitted with your knowledge and skill. World of happiness is an idea, a thought to spread happiness through sharing knowledge, experiences and much more, for better future.

We all are aware about climate change. I want to bring some facts in front of my readers. So that, we can also contribute in saving our planet earth, by small lifestyle changes, which are necessary and urgently required. Things which we can do in our daily routine.
* Recycle and reuse plastic By recycling and reusing plastic we save our environment from waste generated by it and decrease the demand for new such products for which fossil fuels are used and pollute the environment.
* Stop food waste We should not buy things more than our need. When we throw things in garbage, not only we waste money but the energy used in packaging, producing and distribution of that waste. So it’s necessary to stop food waste.
* Switch to led lights it is a simple way to lower your carbon footprints and save money. LED light bulbs use much less power than regular bulbs.
* Save water take a five minute shower instead of 10 minutes. turn off the tap while brushing your teeth.
* Unplug your appliances When we leave devices such as PC, TV, they still draw power, even when they are switched off. So, unplug your appliances when not in use. Plugged in devices use 7% of regular energy, even if turned off.
* Switch off lights when you leave the room it will save good amount of money.
* Eat plant based meal did you know eating less meat and dairy and more plant based food- such as vegetables, fruits, whole grain, nuts can significantly lower your environmental impact? Plant based food produce less greenhouse gas emissions and use less energy, land and water.
* Bring your bag can seriously reduce the amount of plastic waste of the world. Plastic bags not only pollute the ocean and environment, they clog sewers, kills wildlife and damage ecosystem.
* Buy local it is important to support local economies. Local food seriously reduce the climate impact and lowers carbon emitted to get that food on your table.
* Usereusable coffee mug by using less paper cups we help to save our environment so, lets use a reusable coffee mug.
* Air dry laundry it is not only gentle to your cloths but also save energy and money.
* Bring your bottle carry your own water bottle where ever you go, it will save us from plastic waste.
If we want to save our environment, not only for ourselves but for generations to come, we have to take actions now, towards different ways which lead to sustainability. These above mentioned small acts have huge impact on saving earth. This is a topic which is always neglected or we just read and think how a single person’s small act will have huge impact. We can share this message with our family and friends encourage them too. It will not only save money for you but will be beneficial in long run for saving environment.
