Books are always close to our heart. I am not talking about academic books which we read or have to read to attain an educational qualification. It is mandatory for us to learn from them. I am talking about the books which we choose to read. Be it fiction, non-fiction, inspirational, self- motivational, novels. We have our favourite author which influence us the most. The more we read their creation the more we inclined towards them.
Today I will throw some light on one of my favourite author RUJUTA DIWEKAR. She is nutritionist by profession and also write books. The way she express and explain certain things not only inspire me but also makes me laugh most of the time. She writes on healthy lifestyle and how we can attain it without much of hassle.
Books makes me happy when ever I see one. It makes me curious to know, what is in store it. I remember the time when we were kids, we used to buy old books from books market in Old Delhi, INDIA. We keep on searching for good books in huge collection at very economical prices. Good books was one reason for happiness and at economical prices was another. Then we come home with excitement of what we have bought today. In free time I use to read those books. Now we have libraries with so many books, libraries were present earlier also but in limited number. You have to take membership of the library and you are eligible to enter the library, pick a book, read and go.
Reading books makes you more calm. When you read a book, you take time to understand what is being written. Every word, punctuation, everything is being read with concentration. Without making noise or disturbing others around you. You have also seen, that silence is maintained in libraries too. Books takes us to a different world, where we forget our own problems, stress, and spend some quality time with ourselves. It’s rightly said ‘ BOOKS ARE OUR TRUE FRIEND‘.
When my son was a kid I introduce him whole world of educative books. It was collection of I think 50 above books and two activity packs plus 20 talking books. This whole package was from GROLIER and it cost INR 50k. It’s good to cultivate reading habit, along with it we can save trees by reading old books, e-books, if you have collection of so many books you can start a small library in your area. You can donate to less privileged children, you can give it to a library to increase their collection. By doing so you will definately contribute not only towards educating the society but also saving precious trees. Always remember, ‘It’s good to plant a tree but more impactful to save a tree’.
I know I am catering to the right people, who already loves reading. This is the right platform to say things, to like-minded audience.
WISH YOU HAPPY MARCH
